Review – Charlie Hall – The Bright Sadness

I know I’m a bit behind on this album from Charlie Hall, but I haven’t reviewed it yet so I thought I would for anyone who is interested.  Even though it may appear based on my iTunes ratings that I don’t love it, that is not the case.  I really do like this album!  We even use a couple of the songs in our services.  Specifically, we did ‘Mystery’ on Easter and it was incredible.  We also do ‘You are God’ on a regular basis.  On a related note, I really like Charlie Hall’s artistry in his songwriting.  Although some of the songs are, in my opinion, hard for the congregation to sing, they are filled with poignant theological truthes.
